I have two Herobrine stories, both of which I hardly believe myself.
One time, I was on a server (Xbox One) where me and my two closest friends were on a mining trip in a ravine far from our base (In the jungle trees). These two friends of mine never left my sight the entire time, and they were the only people on my server besides me. After our mining trip, we went home to discover the forge area of our jungle treetop base almost completely burned to the ground. Both of them denied it, and they were playing on split-screen (On their end) so one would have been able to see if the other had done it. We were able to rebuild it and we joked as we did that Herobrine must have done it. It still kinda spooks me.
The other one involves one of my other friends and an entirely different server. They had come to me for help dealing with a server that he said was haunted by Herobrine. When I joined, him and I were the only two on the server. It was the tutorial world and had been completely decimated. It had been burned, blown up, flooded with water and lava, and we kept getting teleported around and weren't able to run. I even saw Herobrine from a distance at one point, but I thought that it was just my friend messing with me. I then entered the Nether in a stroke of ABSOLUTE GENIUS to escape, but ended up getting trapped. Mobs began spawning all around me, and I got so fed up that I left and shut down my console after. I thought, rationally, that my friend was just trying to spook me, but sometimes I look back on it and wonder.
I know both of these stories are hard to believe, and I barely believe them myself. I never said they were guaranteed sightings, I just thought I'd post it here

Because i honestly thought he was just a Minecraft story. Like a passed Herobrine off as a joke.
but that changed. My sister was playing Minecraft, and she started a Survival. She spent easily
three weeks trying to find Lapis.
So to mess with her, i said she couldn't find any, because she didn't believe in Herobrine. Then
when she finally found some, Creepers started spawning a lot. like one after the other. i was
shocked to see her live so long with these creepers. but then she died when a zombie hit her
into a creeper.
It was honestly funny, because not only did she loose the lapis lazuli, but she also lost 16
diamonds. and again to mess with her i said it was because she didn't believe in Herobrine...
then things got weird.
It started with when she was breading her cow farm. she just hit a group of cows with wheat,
and went on to the Sheep. but when she went back to count and kill the babies. she found a
baby chicken. I mean i ignored that, and joked about it being Herobrine again.
But then My older brother said Herobrine is real. he's not just in Minecraft, he's not just code.
That's why Minecraft can't say he is or isn't in Minecraft. because he isn't just Minecraft. When
enough people believe. they build energy almost. And there's so much people that believe in
Herobrine, that he became real off of them. and now my sister pissed him off.
She argued with him, and continued not believing. until my older brother played on his Hardcore.
First he just died, like that happens a lot to everyone. but when he made a new hardcore. The
sky was changing. Like it was flashing and jumping from two different times. when we hit F3,
we saw it was going from day 0 to 1, and then back ,over and over again.
So he deleted that hardcore and started a new one. as soon as he spawned, he died. then he
made another new one, and the same thing happened.
So he gave up with hardcore, and went to his creative command block filled world. and noticed
the time thing happening again. this time jumping from day 0 to 6. He turned command block
output on, and nothing changed. So he started messing with commands. Like he tried setting
the day to day/night a couple of times.
And he tried adding time to his day. It seemed like when he added time, only one of the two
times would change. Then he turned Daylight cycle off. it worked kinda. Day 0 stopped moving,
but it still jumped from the other day. and the other day (Day 6) was still moving like daylight
cycle was still on.
Then out of nowhere, he died in creative. There wasn't any messages in the message bar. And
he couldn't respawn.
I'm not sure what that was. But my older brother said it was herobrine. and we had to sacrifice
something to him. So it stopped when my sister leaded that baby chicken "cow" into
lava. as a way to sacrifice it to Herobrine.
As fake as this sounds. this is all true. I even filmed it on my phone.
This had no mods. because we only play with OptiFine on.
